12th Annual Juneteenth NY Festival

Juneteenth NY is hosting its 12th Annual Juneteenth Celebration for the New York Community to celebrate a colorful day of rich culture through music, dance, poetry, skits, history, merchants and families. On June 18 and 19, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST, events will take place both online and in person at Herbert Von King Park in Brooklyn. Brooklyn resists

Where: Center for Brooklyn History, 128 Pierrepont Street

Starting June 17, 2021, Brooklyn Resists shines a light on the history of the Black Brooklynites and how they responded to systemic racial injustice by rising up against these systems, as well as how the current protest movement connects to previous generations of activists and leaders through exhibitions.

Coming Together: A Celebration of June 15

Date: Sat June 19

Time: 12 p.m.

Where: Lincoln Center Plaza, Manhattan

A joyful celebration of black culture through music, dance and poetry is presented by Concerts For Kids in honor of the anniversary of freedom Juneteenth. “Coming Together” examines the value of family in all its manifestations, as well as the role of connection in promoting resilience and transformation.

Harlem Business Alliance: Come home to Harlem to participate in the Juneteenth Shop & Sip

SHOP & SIP HARLEM is the Harlem Business Alliance’s successful event series celebrating black-owned businesses in Harlem with a weekend filled with support for restaurants and merchants around Harlem. Participation in the event and inclusion in the experience are included in the $ 175 table ticket.

Soul of Brooklyn Juneteenth Gathering 2021

To Honor Juneteenth Soul of Brooklyn will host a celebration of the diverse arts and cultures of the African Diaspora. The event will celebrate freedom, community and diversity in arts and culture.

Date: Friday, June 18, 9 a.m. – Sunday, June 20, 9 p.m.

Where: Online at the Juneteenth 2021 summit “Rebirthing the Roots of Entrepreneurial Excellence”

This event is a three-day online event that seeks to celebrate and help promote black businesses. The event will offer entrepreneurship training as well as entertainment and empowerment.

Juneteenth Men’s Health Show on the Beach

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Where: Beach 14th & Seagirt Boulevard Far Rockaway, NY 11691

Senator Bernie Sanders will co-host a men’s health fair with a number of other personalities. For the men in our district, this beach party will be a day of self-care and mental health awareness. Several civic and health organizations, as well as live music and a health screening van, will be on site. Come for free hypertension and blood pressure screening.

NYFlyers will honor the party on Saturday, June 19, 2021 by participating in and supporting a solidarity walk organized by the Keith Institute, which will take the form of a 5K walk / run with running teams and community groups based in New York. York.

Music, food, vendors, live performances, tournament-style activities, and trivia games will all be available, with SOUL Nation electronics offering prizes!

A June 15th celebration with Joe’s Pub

Every year, Joe’s Pub offers A Juneteenth Event, a FREE live musical celebration that takes place on the streets of New York City. Celisse, Ché Buford and mal sound will perform live, as well as the Juneteenth Legacy Project.
