The real distribution partners of New Amsterdam
Actor Tyler Labine plays Dr Iggy Frome, chief of the married psychiatry department in “New Amsterdam” and in real life the actor is also married. Labine married actress Carrie Ruscheinsky in 2007. According to her IMDb, Ruscheinsky is best known for her work in “X Files: I Want to Believe” in 2008, as well as in “RL Stine’s The Haunting Hour” in 2010. She has also had a role in the 2007 comedy “Hot Rod”.
Ruscheinsky’s last acting credit appears to be in 2015. While it’s not clear if she quit acting, she has had three children with Labine. The children of the “Deadbeat” actor are featured frequently on his Instagram, while Ruscheinsky remains more low-key. Yet, in early 2021, Labine posted a photo of his family, which appeared to include his wife.
Ruscheinsky also continues to stand by Labine’s side as he battles an eating disorder on and offscreen. Labine’s real battle against eating disorders made its way to “New Amsterdam”. Labine told People: “It has been really cathartic to go on this journey with Iggy.” As for his wife, she apparently opened Labine’s eyes for help. He explained, “I was talking to my wife and she said, ‘You will never be happy with your body.’ She also pointed out that having a vegan protein shake or a diet meal for dinner didn’t send a healthy message to our kids. I knew it was time to seek help. “
