Hilton announces first Motto hotel for Europe

Motto by Hilton will make its European debut with the opening in 2022 of a 109-room property, to be operated by Borealis Hotel Group, in the Dutch city of Rotterdam.

The unveiling of Motto Rotterdam Blaak’s plans follows the signing of a franchise agreement to introduce the urban and lifestyle hotel brand to the Netherlands.

Currency aligns with Rotterdam launch

Motto by Hilton’s first property in the Netherlands is to be developed by White House Development and operated by Borealis Hotel Group, with the 109-room hotel set to open in 2022.

A cutting-edge hotel experience

At this new Motto by Hilton hotel, guests can expect flexible, interconnecting rooms, as well as dynamic urban design and versatile social space. Built-in technology will allow guests to book, choose a room, check in, unlock their room door, and pay using their own mobile devices.

At Motto by Hilton hotels, bright, open social spaces are designed for work and play. This hotel will contain a light-flooded atrium with innovative day-to-night food and drink offerings. The hotel under construction is centrally located, 1.4 km from Rotterdam Central Station and with easy access to sites such as the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum, the Old Port, the Rotterdam Maritime Museum and the Cubic Houses .
