Our client, a leading pan-European financial provider, is looking to hire a European Sales Manager based in the Netherlands.

You will lead and manage the activities of the sales department handling business in the Netherlands, Belgium and Finland and have two direct reports based in the Netherlands and Finland.

This will be achieved by fulfilling the mission of exceptional people, delivering exceptional customer experiences today.

As a member of the sales management team, you will develop business with approved suppliers who are generally part of the larger global group of our customers and global key accounts, as well as the implementation of cross-functional initiatives. between individual business units.

You will support the development of a global common strategy, including activity in the energy efficiency and LED markets, in particular by working on existing programs in your area of ​​responsibility. The development of new programs is led by a different team, but once established, new programs become your and your team’s responsibility to grow.

As a member of the management team, you will manage and lead the sales team in the Netherlands, Belgium and Finland in the acquisition and retention of sustainable businesses by achieving agreed goals and motivating the ‘sales team to do this and working collaboratively with other managers to create opportunities to support the success of the business

You will work with the European SLT to design and develop sustainable growth strategies in all European regions. Improve, develop and comply with all corporate governance requirements.

The objectives to be achieved are realistic, we are happy to share them with suitably qualified candidates and to give indications on realistic growth plans to our clients until 2022.

Candidate profile

To apply, you must be based in the Netherlands and have a solid track record as a sales leader in the supplier finance industry.

This may have been acquired in durable assets, intangible assets, fast developing assets like green tech / clean tech and it may have been achieved with an independent, bank-centric, or captive environment funder. What matters most are your skills rather than your particular asset class background.

You must have some experience leading personnel in a sales capacity, this is a prerequisite

If your leadership experience encompasses management personnel from more than one country and therefore you have experience leading sales personnel from different cultures, this would be ideal, but it is not a limiting factor to apply.

You must be Dutch and English speaking, if you also speak French or Finnish, great, but the minimum to apply is English and Business Dutch.

Key experience required includes:

  • Knowledge and understanding of working and dealing directly with multiple stakeholders, including the supply chain.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and process analysis.
  • Knowledge of the industry sector (supplier financing).
