CLdN and DFDS enter into a Space Charter Agreement (SCA) to increase frequency and capacity on the Rotterdam – Humber route

Responding to customer demand to provide more capacity, higher frequency and earlier arrivals to the UK, CLdN is pleased to announce the introduction of six additional departures per week each way on the Rotterdam service – Humber, increasing the offer to twelve departures per week each way.

The increased capacity, meeting customer demand and made possible by a mutual SCA with DFDS, will allow a 5:00 am arrival at the Killingholme port of C.Ro on the Humber. This will allow for a faster turnaround of cargo and equipment, with a design to keep the flow of goods more efficient after January 1, 2022, when stricter customs procedures come into effect.

CLdN and DFDS will each provide an additional vessel to facilitate the SCA, on a Rozenburg / Vlaardingen / Killingholme rotation from Sunday to Friday, which will complement the six crossings established by CLdN in each Rozenburg / Killingholme direction. In Rotterdam, CLdN customers will have the option of loading and unloading goods in Rozenburg and / or Vlaardingen. CLdN and DFDS will continue to operate independently all crossings, including all related commercial activities.

This additional service will be implemented as of January 10, 2022.
