Arcadis and Fugro participate in the restoration of Amsterdam’s bridges and quays


Amsterdam, July 20, 2021 – Arcadis (EURONEXT: ARCAD), world leader in design and consulting for natural and built assets, and geodata company Fugro, today announced that they have been selected by the Municipality of Amsterdam as one of the three parties involved in the restoration of bridges and quay walls in the city center over the next few years . This is a six-year contract with the possibility of extension twice for two years. The project is estimated at around 30 million euros per cooperation partner.

The municipality of Amsterdam is working on a vast program to replace or renovate around 850 bridges and 200 kilometers of quay walls. The scope of the cooperation agreement covers all types of engineering services such as soil studies and analyzes, checks on the technical condition of objects, conditioning, design, engineering, project management, supervision of implementation and programming advice. All this is in accordance with the recommendations of the “Factor 20” report of the Civil Construction Committee.
